Rippleffect Fall Adventure Club
Overview
Calling all adventurous 7th and 8th graders!
Get ready to step outside this fall for an exciting and rewarding experience with Fall Adventure Club! Meeting Thursday afternoons for five consecutive weeks, this after-school program is designed to build community, develop outdoor skills, and challenge participants through ropes course elements at Rippleffect’s Outdoor Community Center.
The program concludes with a weekend overnight expedition to the White Mountains, where students will apply what they have learned—and even attempt to summit a mountain peak!
Throughout the program, participants will gain essential outdoor living skills, including:
Teamwork and community values through high ropes challenges and group initiatives
Leave No Trace environmental principles
How to dress for the outdoors and understand how the body loses heat
Knot tying, shelter building, and basecamp setup
How to confidently pack for an overnight expedition
The structure of weekly sessions allows students to build skills progressively while forming strong connections with their peers. By the time they head into the mountains, participants are prepared and confident, ready to take on new challenges and lead with intention. Beyond outdoor skills, students also develop core life and leadership abilities—including proactive thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving. With a 1:6 guide-to-student ratio and a maximum of 12 participants, this program offers a personalized and impactful experience that empowers middle schoolers to grow, explore, and thrive outdoors.
